Qantas Baggage

Domestic Baggage

All passengers can enjoy checked baggage included in their fare. Passengers flying in Economy can bring one piece of luggage up to 23kg, those in Premium Economy can bring two pieces of luggage up to 23kg each, and those in Business can bring two pieces of luggage up to 32kg each. Qantas Frequent Flyer members may be eligible for additional baggage, please check your membership benefits for more information.

International Carry-on Baggage Allowances

All passengers flying internationally with Qantas are provided with a carry-on baggage allowance. The allowance varies depending on the cabin you’re travelling. Passengers in Economy can travel with one piece of carry-on baggage weighing up to 7kg. Passengers in Premium Economy, Business and First may board with a maximum of two pieces of carry-on baggage weighing up to 14kg in total. One piece must not exceed 10kg. Passengers can also travel with one small personal item. This additional allowance includes items such as a coat, a handbag, or a laptop.

International Checked Baggage Allowances

For all international flights, excluding services to North and South America, passengers in Economy can travel with up to 30kg of checked baggage. Passengers in Premium Economy and Business are permitted to carry 40kg, while passengers in First have an allowance of 50kg. Passengers on international flights to North and South America are provided with a piece-based baggage allowance. In Economy, you may travel with one piece, in Premium Economy it’s two pieces, and in Business and First you may travel with three pieces each. Each piece must weigh no more than 32kg.

Qantas Dining

Passengers travelling internationally in Economy are provided with a selection of generously portioned dishes, each crafted with international flavours and delicious Australian ingredients. A choice of non-alcoholic beverages, spirits and Australian wines is provided. Passengers can access a self-serve snack bar stocked with food and drinks throughout their flight.

Passengers travelling internationally in Premium Economy are welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine and are served a contemporary dining menu on tableware designed by David Caon. Meals are accompanied by a premium drink selection. Beverages and snacks are available throughout the flight through a self-serve snack bar or the continuous refreshment service.

Passengers travelling internationally in Business are served a menu of contemporary seasonal meals. Focusing on choice, a variety of options are available, including light dishes, full meals and more. Refreshments are available from the in-flight bar or are prepared by the cabin crew. Qantas’ Sommeliers in the Sky also serve wine originating from across Australia, New Zealand and beyond.

Those travelling in First may enjoy a dining menu curated by Australian chef, Neil Perry. Focusing on the use of seasonal and artisan produce, passengers have the choice of full meals, tasting menus and more throughout their flight. All meals are presented on tableware designed by David Caon, with a selection of local and international wines served by Qantas’ Sommeliers in the Sky.

Economy

Qantas Economy offers warm hospitality, premium dining and refreshments, reclining seats, and quality entertainment options.

Premium Economy

Premium Economy offers additional comforts with a dedicated crew, more spacious seats, extended legroom, and a contemporary menu.

Business

Qantas Business offers more space, a dedicated cabin, premium dining, lounge access and outstanding service for your trip.

First

First in Qantas provides unparalleled luxury with exclusive lounge access, an expansive individual suite onboard and menus designed by Neil Perry.
